Edinburgh bar wins best in Scotland prize at national hospitality awards

Dozens in the food and drink industry from across the country descended on The Marriott Hotel in Glasgow on Monday night for the 2022 Scottish Hospitality Awards

The awards is described 'an exclusive celebration of the people and businesses that make the country a great place to visit or call home; from restaurants, bars and hotels to shopping complexes, festivals and cultural venues that enhance the country's cultural landscape', with winners being voted by the public.

And there were a number of different Edinburgh winners across various categories, with the legendary Bow Bar scooping the Best Bar in Scotland prize.

The award-winning whisky and beer destination, found in the heart of the historic Old Town, is a much-loved location for locals and tourists who wish to sample over 400 whiskies and beers from across Scotland and beyond.

Elsewhere, Edinburgh's Footlights Bar and Grill won the Best Sports Bar accolade, while the Mercure Edinburgh City Princes Street Hotel was awarded with the City Budget Hotel of the Year gong.
