Edinburgh council leader hits out at local Lidl in furious early morning online rant

Labour Councillor Cammy Day hit out at the Easter Road Lidl supermarket at 7.40am on Twitter - also tagging the local police to alert them of his surprise wake up call

A customer service representative for the store replied to the raging Labour leader's tweet asking which store but he did not follow up.

In the angry rant he wrote: "Annoying Sunday 7.40am wake up call for local people today.

"Thank you to @LidlGB #t**** for being a pain in the a**. Alarm goes off regularly and nothing done about it @Edinburgh_CC @PoliceScotland"
