Edinburgh Heart of Midlothian WWII ticket found with 'air raid disclaimer'

Shared on social media this week, Heart of Midlothian account Hearts Heritage were quick to give a glimpse of the old paper printout which was issued over 80 years ago

Purchased for a match on May 10, 1941, the game went ahead when the capital was in the middle of extremely unprecedented times, with many hundreds of miles away on the frontline.

Playing against Rangers, the match was the 1941 Southern League Cup Final, with the two major teams going to head to head on the pitch.

However, due to the game being played in the middle of a world war, the East Stand ticket came with an unusual disclaimer you wouldn't see on today's handouts.

With the risk of air raids exceptionally high, the ticket stated that anyone who purchases it must be aware the game could be abandoned at any time.
