Edinburgh high school installs vape detectors to tackle 'escalating' problem

"Vaping is not acceptable. We will not permit it. We will not promote it." She said that since the detectors have been activated, there was been "almost zero" activations.

During a similar trial at St Joseph's RC High School in Horwich, earlier this year, headteacher Tony McCabe said the vape detector alarm buzzed 112 times within the first day of it being installed. He recalled his horror when a student passed out after sharing a vape with someone else before school.
