Edinburgh King's Theatre Sunshine on Leith shows cancelled as stars catch Covid

The theatre owned by Capital Theatres took to Twitter earlier today to share the news. They said "We are absolutely devastated to announce that the remaining shows of Sunshine on Leith at the Kings Theatre this week are cancelled due to COVID-19 affecting key members of the cast."

Actor Colin McCredie was quick to reply to the heartbreaking news, replying with "What a b***** shame."

Ticket-holders have expressed their disappointment in the cancellation of the beloved musical, with Lindsey Menzies tweeting that she was "Absolutely gutted. Bought tickets for my other half for his Christmas and we were so looking forward to Friday night. Hope all those affected get well soon."
