Edinburgh motorbike riders attempt hair-raising 'globe of death' stunt

Part of touring circus 'Cirque Sobota', one audience member posted the video to social media after having a front row seat for the hair-raising performance. With the name of the stunt a serious indicator of what it contains, each highly-trained participant is locked inside the metal cage as they perform tricks just inches away from each other

Set up with dramatic darkened blue lighting, a spotlight was cast on the globe as the three riders work their way up to speeds of over 60mph, driving upside down at times. With one small error having the capability to cause a fatal accident, the audience could be heard to be utterly silent as the motorbikes sped around.
