Edinburgh Orange Walk causes traffic chaos in capital city centre

The parades returning to the city will be the first in three years and they are said to have caused traffic chaos for those venturing into the city centre

Video footage captured by those travelling in town shows drivers making their way down closed roads beyond fallen road closure barriers.

The march began at the Meadows on June 11 at noon before making their way onto Forest Road, across George IV bridge, continuing along Lawnmarket, High Street, Abbey Road and Regent Road.

There will be three Orange Order marches in the city this summer, after the application was approved by the City of Edinburgh Council Licensing Committee in March.
