Edinburgh police arrest 23-year-old after early morning hit and run

The crash happened in the early hours of the morning on Sunday, June 19, between a car and a pedestrian

Now, a 23-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the hit and run.

Emergency services raced to the scene on Easter Road at around 2.40am after reports of an incident. They found a 21-year-old man who was taken to hospital for treatment to serious injuries.

The current condition of the pedestrian is not known.

Locals reported the roads being cordoned off during the morning of the incident, with a huge police presence spotted around the area.
