Edinburgh police monitor primary school following "inconsiderate" parking

Officers were on hand in Drylaw to deal with parking issues and to ensure that parents were being "considerate" to those making their way to the primary school with their children

Police reminded those dropping off their kids that yellow lines and road closures were in place to protect pupils and to keep them safe.

It is understood that the Drylaw Community Safety team carried out the checks on site and monitored the situation outside of the primary.

The Edinburgh City Council confirmed that police were in attendance after complaints of "inconsiderate parking and driving" near the school.
