Edinburgh Police stop driver with no working handbrake or valid MOT

Road Policing Scotland took to Twitter this morning, Saturday June 11, to say that they had stopped a vehicle on East Claremont Street

Officers added that they carried out a handbrake test at the roadside and found that it was not working.

As well as this, there were no working brake lights on the vehicle which broke road regulations.

Police say they applied a prohibition (PG9) that would stop the vehicle from being able to be driven.

The driver of the vehicle was reported to the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service in Edinburgh.
