Edinburgh set for African street food cafe and bistro under new plans

Edinburgh City Council planning department is currently considering an application for a change of signage at 7 Dublin Street, near St Andrew Square

If the proposal if approved, MaRobert's A Taste of Tanzania could soon trade out of the unit, which has previously been occupied by sandwich, soup and salad shop The Square. The property had recently been advertised by Cornerstone Business Agents.

MaRobert's will no doubt be on the radar of Edinburgh foodies, having brought delicious hot sauces and African meals to the likes of the Tolbooth Market in the past.

An artist's impression of the proposed signage on the Dublin Street unit reveals the new cafe and bistro will serve up Tanzanian and East African street food, with sit-in, takeaway and click and collect meals on offer.
