Edinburgh teenager arrested after crash lands woman in hospital

A woman is also understood to have been taken to hospital for treatment on her injuries

The incident is believed to have taken place in front of the Limelite bar at 15 Jocks Lodge Edinburgh at around 5:10pm.

In a video and photo shared exclusively with Edinburgh Live, what appears to be a Nissan Qashqai and a Mini Cooper can be seen severely dented with pieces of debris strewn across the road.

The back bumper of the Nissan is visibly damaged and several pieces of the car are lying to the rear of the vehicle.

The Mini appears to have a dent in the boot of the car..

At least three police officers and vehicles can be spotted in the video that was shared by a Lothian Bus passenger.

The passenger, who wishes to remain anonymous, said: "It looked like a nasty collision and was holding things up near the junction.

"The traffic on that route is usually gridlock at rush hour so it's no surprise that you'll have incidents like this."

Twitter user Paul Forsyth notified Edinburgh Travel News of the incident and warned of delays along London Road towards Portobello and along Willowbrae Road.
