Edinburgh TRNSMT fans could be stuck in Glasgow due to train strikes

The three-day festival is set to attract thousands of people from all over Scotland, with the likes of Paolo Nutini and West Lothian star Lewis Capaldi featuring in the line-up. Taking place on July 8 to July 10, a number of trains should have been running between Edinburgh and Glasgow to allow ticket holders to travel there and back easily

However, warnings have now been issued that those coming from Edinburgh may need to leave early or make alternate arrangements if they need to get a train home to the capital.

According to the Sun, the organisers of TRNSMT said some may have to "leave early to catch the last train" after forking out for a ticket.

On the Friday and Saturday, the RMT rail strike has meant the last train back to Edinburgh is scheduled to leave 45 minutes before the festival will end.
