Edinburgh weather: When the sun and warm temperatures are set to disappear

According to the Met Office, it will be "dry, warm and sunny today" with "light winds" and a maximum temperature of 21C

The forecaster states: "This morning will be dry with plenty of sunshine. This afternoon will be dry with some warm sunshine, locally very warm in the southeast. Light winds."

Temperatures will rise throughout the morning and early afternoon, peaking at around 3pm — with the heat sticking around until 6pm.

After this, things will gradually cool off, but temperatures in the capital will remain above 15C until 11pm.

The Met Office has also stated that the UV index will be "high" on Monday, meaning if you're heading outside make sure you are wearing sun protection.

There is also a "high" pollen warning on Monday, so if you suffer from hay fever or similar allergies you should try and limit your time outside.

The sunshine will stick around 6pm, after which clouds will begin to form over the capital.
