Eimskipafelag Islands hf (Eimskip) (ICE:EIM), a shipping company, announced on Wednesday the appointment of Vilhelm Mar [THORN]orsteinsson as the company's new CEO, effective 24 January 2018.
Reportedly, Eimskip had advertised this role in early December 2018 and Hagvangur assisted Eimskip in the hiring process.
Most recently, [THORN]orsteinsson has been MD of Corporate and Investment Banking at Islandsbanki hf for the past years. He has been with Islandsbanki for 20 years where he has undertaken diverse and demanding tasks, for a long period as a senior manager, as well as having been a member of the bank's executive board.
