The 23-year-old has agreed a season-long loan from Swiss Super League side St Gallen, which could be made permanent by new manager Lee Johnson

There is optimism around Easter Road in the aftermath of a calamitous season that brought a bottom six finish plus two manager sackings in Jack Ross and Shaun Maloney, with competitive action kicking off on July 9th in the Premier Sports Cup against League One Clyde next month.

Youan is keen to make the most of his big move to Scotland's capital, and he said: "First of all, I want to win a lot of games. In terms of my own ambitions I don't have any limits – I am here to win cups and get the team playing back in Europe.

"To play at the highest level you have to push yourself all the way. That is my mindset. As a player, I am a striker so I like to score goals and make assists. I am a quick player who can dribble well so it is all about going forward.

"I am very excited to get out onto the pitch, to start playing and winning games. I am very happy to be here. I want to be playing football.

"Hibs, in my mind, is the best place for me to play. I spoke to the manager and we had a good discussion. I had a really good feeling.
