Son feels he will 'never get a girlfriend' after dad's embarrassing puppy name

Deciding a puppy's name is never easy as there is a plethora of options available for our four legged best friends

But one unfortunate owner was left red faced as he entrusted his father to register his new golden retriever with the vet.

Taking to Reddit, a 19-year-old owner elaborated on how he was given his puppy as a present by his parents but had to wait a couple of weeks before taking them home, the Mirror reports.

He said: "I decided Holly was an appropriate name.

"Due to circumstances at the time, I couldn't take her home immediately, so I left her with my parents for a couple of weeks.

"In that time, my dad listed her name with the kennel club as Mizz Princess Hollywood and did the same with the vet registration.

"I have no idea about this. Six months later when I'm taking her in for a check-up and going to the front desk, they find her listed as her kennel club name.

"I laugh, sigh, and say 'just Holly' knowing exactly what happened."

The lad was able to find the unfortunate circumstances rather funny but says that the name may have stopped him from being able to catch the right sort of attention of a "cute girl."

When sat in the vet waiting room - the dog's name was called and embarrassment soon ensued.
