Ranvir Singh had to step away from her Good Morning Britain hosting duties on Wednesday to take an 'urgent' phone call from home.

Ranvir joined colleagues Adil Ray and Susanna Reid for GMB's third instalment of the week, which saw them discuss everything from the row brewing over UEFA VIPs being allowed to travel to London from abroad to attend Euro 2020 with having to quarantine to the strained relationship between Princes William and Harry.

But there was a brief halt to proceedings after Ranvir looked at her phone to see her son was ringing her.

Slightly concerned it might be something major, Ranvir told her presenting colleagues: "My son is FaceTiming me whilst I'm on air!

Susanna quipped: "Talk about busy women!" before Ranvir added: "I'll have to go and answer my son now to see if everything's OK."

Adil replied: "You do that,, make sure everything is alright."

Still making light of the situation, Susanna joked: "Do you want us to stay with you Breaking news!"

While the show was still on air, Ranvir tweeted GMB's video of the awkward moment to confirm that everything was OK at home but her son had an 'urgent'...
