Halma plc (LON:HLMA), a UK-based group of safety, environmental and healthcare technology companies, announced on Wednesday that it has completed two acquisitions for a combined total consideration of approximately GBP46.5m.

In the Environmental and Analysis sector, Halma subsidiary Alicat Scientific Inc has acquired the Alpha Instrumatics Group, a Bradford-based company that designs and manufactures devices for high-precision measurement of trace moisture found in gases. These devices help enhance the safety of industrial equipment, efficient transfer of hydrocarbons and accurate detection of pollutants. Alpha Instrumatics' products cater to growing markets, including industrial gas and aerospace, as well as sectors aligned with the new energy transition. This acquisition extends Alicat's product offering in its existing and adjacent end markets.

The initial cash consideration for Alpha Instrumatics amounts to GBP31, funded through Halma's existing resources. Additional earn-out consideration, up to a maximum of GBP5.5m, is based on Alpha Instrumatics' performance over the...
