Hearts player ratings v Hibs as Craig Gordon pulls off stunning saves in Edinburgh derby stalemate

A huge reason for the stalemate was the performance of both goalkeepers - particularly Scotland veteran Craig Gordon's for the Jambos.

The big stopper shone at Tynecastle as the teams had to make do with a share of the Premiership spoils - leaving the men from Gorgie third in the table and a point behind champions Rangers at the top.

It was another encouraging outing for Robbie Neilson's men and here's how they rated out of ten.

Craig Gordon: Several top saves, one in particular from Kyle Magennis that looked in all the way until Gordon did what he usually does. 8

John Souttar: Got away with one slack pass in a dangerous area but defended well throughout and was strong in the air. 7

Craig Halkett: Similar to Souttar and brought the ball out just as well as his defensive colleague at times. 7

Stephen Kingsley: Got forward from that left centre-back position to support Cochrane all game. Strong display after recovering from Covid. 7

Michael Smith: A bit tentative going forward at times and crossing could have been better but wasn't fully fit. 6

Beni Baningime: Excellent in midfield. Won the ball well, used it well and looked to drive forward whenever possible. 8
