Germany-based auto parts supplier HeLLA GmbH has announced that Bernard Schaferbarthold, currently HELLA's chief financial officer, will become its new chief executive officer (CEO).

This was decided by the Shareholder Committee of HELLA GmbH & Co. KGaA at its meeting on Friday, September 29. Schaferbarthold will take over the post on January 1, 2024 from CEO Michel Favre, who has mutually agreed with the Shareholder Committee on an early termination of his mandate.

Bernard Schaferbarthold (52), who has signed a long-term contract, has already been a member of the Management Board responsible for HELLA's Finance and Controlling corporate function since November 2016. Schaferbarthold will continue to be responsible for the CFO role in combination of tasks, until a successor is appointed.
