Hibs keeper Matt Macey's transfer to Luton Town complete as he departs Easter Road

The Easter Road side have confirmed that the transfer fee received for last season's number one will remain undisclosed but the deal with come with future add-ons and a sell-on clause should he depart the Hatters

The 27-year-old joined Hibs in January 2021 from Arsenal and went on to make 56 appearances for the club. He kept 18 clean sheets during his time between the sticks but moves back to England with David Marshall recruited by Lee Johnson this summer as part of his rebuild following his arrival at the club as Shaun Maloney's successor. Macey featured in both the Scottish Cup and Premier Sports Cup Finals during his spell at the club and was ever-present last season.

Hibernian FC Chief Executive Ben Kensell commented to the club website : "We'd like to thank Matt for his contribution and efforts during his time at the Club.

"On and off the pitch, Matt was a model professional and we wish him all the best for the future.
