Hunt for man who 'jumped on woman on London Underground Tube and robbed her of phone'

According to British Transport Police, the victim was travelling on the Jubilee line, between Bermondsey and Westminster Underground stations, on Sunday, March 28.

At just before 10am, the woman was approached by a man on the Tube who asked to use her phone to call his friend.

The woman handed the man her phone which he then refused to give back. He returned the phone to the woman after she told him she needed to get off the train.

She then moved to a busier part of the carriage before the man followed and jumped on top of her, snatching the phone and putting it in his bag, police say.

Police have today released CCTV images in connection with the incident, which they hope will help their investigation.
