But with the smorgasbord of choice available to Londoners at any given moment, it can be hard to narrow down precisely what you want at any one time.

Luckily, apps like Just Eat and Deliveroo allow you to place multiple orders at once, meaning you can mix and match from different restaurants to create the ultimate feast.

Perhaps the most popular three takeout spots in London are the three big boy brands of McDonald's, KFC and Subway -the three amigos, as some call them.

They're each famous for different things so we decided to try and combine them into the "ultimate fast food burger."

Things didn't exactly go to plan.

The ingredients

When you're combining three classic takeaways together you need to be smart with what you order.

As a veteran of the golden triangle eating KFC, McDonald's and Burger King in the back of a car I knew how wrong things could go if the challenge wasn't treated with adequate respect.

I knew that I'd need to order some boneless chicken fillets from KFC as only a complete moron would attempt to eat a boned chicken burger.

Equally, I realised that I'd need to use the McDonald's BBQ Burger as a base as the thing was large enough to support my patties.

But when it came to Subway things got a little trickier.

Subway's menu is as vast and unconquerable as the Sahara dessert, and unlike other fast food joints it isn't really known for one particular dish.

This meant I had to get creative and opted for a meatball Marinara which I thought would complement the chicken, beef and bacon well.

I placed my three separate orders and began the waiting game.

'It looked like a monster'

After I had collected my last bag of junk food under the watchful eye of my disapproving neighbours it was time to create this monster.

With surgical precision I extracted the meatballs from the sub and chopped them in half, before layering them on a beef patty.

With my other hand, I reached into my KFC bag, which was greasy...
