George Redfern paid just £9 on a Friday night to stay at the White Moon Hotel in Blackpool, challenging himself to leave a positive review without lying

The 21-year-old from Wirral, Merseyside, documented his trip on the popular social media platform, where his video has gathered over 10,000 likes and hundreds of comments.

He pointed out several issues with the room -including an exposed plug socket and two broken bulbs -but overall found his stay to be clean, comfy, and good value for money.

Upon arrival, George said his check-in was 'quick', which earned the hotel a star, but he did notice a leak in the roof inside the lobby. Once inside his room, he found a cracked mirror and exposed plug socket, as well as two broken light bulbs.

He also claimed he didn't receive soap in the bathroom, adding he thought this was 'unusual', but said the bathroom was otherwise 'clean' -earning the hotel another star.
