Ilford resident stabbed in midnight burglary as armed men broke into home and stole car

Police were called to a residential property in Middleton Gardens at 12.46am after four men armed with weapons broke into a property. They stole various items including a car

One of the two residents of the house suffered a number of injuries in the burglary. One of which was a stab wound to the leg.

The four men managed to flee the scene before the police had arrived. The Met attended the scene and the victim was taken to hospital for treatment.

Police are yet to track down the culprits and no arrests have been made. A spokesperson for the Met said: "Police were called to a residential property in Middleton Gardens, Ilford at about 12.46am on Tuesday, April 9 following reports of an aggravated burglary.
