Indonesia saw a drop of 20 percent in new vehicle sales for the month of September 2023.
The nation registered 79,883 unit sales in September, compared to 99,986 for the same month a year earlier, according to auto industry association Gaikindo.
Indonesia has now seen three consecutive months of decline following two strong post pandemic years. The Indonesian central bank's rate increases from 3.5 percent to 5.75 percent in the past year are believed to have impacted the latest figures.
