The Isle of Man (War Legislation) Act (End of Emergency) Order, 1953

Present,

The Queen's Most Excellent Majesty in Council

Whereas by subsection (2) of section two of the Isle of Man (War Legislation) Act, 1939(a), it is provided that that Act shall continue in force until such date as Her Majesty may by Order in Council declare to be the date on which the emergency that was the occasion of the passing of that Act came to an end:

Now, therefore, Her Majesty, in pursuance of the said subsection (2), is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:—

1. It is hereby declared that the eighteenth day of June, nineteen hundred and fifty-three, is the date on which the emergency that was the occasion of the passing of the Isle of Man (War Legislation) Act, 1939, came to an end.

2. This Order may be cited as the Isle of Man (War Legislation) Act (End of Emergency) Order, 1953.
