Christine Lampard was left taken aback and 'confused,' as a Lorraine guest put her on the spot live on air as to why main host Lorraine Kelly was absent from her own show.

As she has done on numerous occasions over the last few years, former One Show presenter, a regular anchor on Loose Women, has been standing in for Lorraine this week and, on Tuesday, was joined by Drag Race UK season 4 winner Danny Beard, who is now fronting spin-off show The After Shave for the new series of the hit BBC programme.

And, as well as talking about Drag Race and what else Danny has been up to of late, Christine faced some unexpected questioning, as the tables were turned and Danny fired a question at her, as they remarked: "What are we on again Lorraine She's off again!"

Christine replied: "It's confusing!" before Danny retorted: "Here kids aren't in school no more! She's got a good job her, I could do this!" Staying diplomatic, Christine responded: "You could do this, you really could" before Danny quipped: 2I'm never going to get an invite back am I"
