Loic Damour confirms Hearts exit as he completes transfer to French third tier

The 31-year-old spent last season on loan at French third division side Le Mans after failing to make an impact in Robbie Neilson's side

He arrived at the club on a four-year deal in 2019 but has made just 21 appearances since arriving in Gorgie while Craig Levein was still boss. Last season, Damour featured in a handful of early season squads before Hearts shipped him out to his native France.

He made 26 appearances in the nation's third tier and now links up with Versailles, who are a semi-pro side just promoted to the Championnat National from the fourth tier of French football. Their statement reads: "FC Versailles is pleased to announce the arrival in its workforce of Loïc Damour. The midfielder joined Heart of Midlothian in 2019 for a new European experience, in Scotland.
