When is London Marathon on TV and what channels

If you want to get a feel for the atmosphere of the races but cannot hack the busy city buzz around them, you can be a part of it from your sofa. You can feel like a fitness king and critique the running technique of athletes whilst chowing down on popcorn on several live TV channels.

BBC One will air the first part of the races from 8.30am to 2pm on April 21. BBC Two will then pick up where BBC One leaves off with coverage starting from 2pm and ending at 3pm. After all of the coverage ends there will be highlights of the races on BBC Two from 6pm until 7pm.

How else can I watch it

There is additional coverage of the races on BBC iPlayer and the BBC Sport app and website. The elite races, in which professional long-distance runners participate, will be streamed live on these web services from 8.20am until 3pm.

There is also special featured coverage on these platforms of the Tower Bridge camera between 11:30am and 2.30pm -an iconic view of the iconic race that started in 1981. Finally, there will be finish line cameras set up on these online streaming platforms from 1pm until 6pm.
