London's cheapest Michelin star restaurants where you can get a meal for £21.50

Budgeting experts thinkmoney have analysed the menus and prices of 148 Michelin-star restaurants -revealing the top 20 cheapest, and 50 per cent of them are based in London.

In fact, the cheapest Michelin-star restaurant in the country can be found in the capital.

Cornerstone, a 1-star Michelin restaurant, offers an a la carte menu where you can pick various options, with two dishes costing just £21.50 per person.

Founded by Chef Tom Brown, Cornerstone is located in Hackney Wick and offers a seafood menu in a relaxed and casual atmosphere.

Tom was a finalist on the Great British Menu in 2018, and opened his Hackney Wick restaurant in April 2018.

He was also GQ's chef of the year in 2020 and named his restaurant after his favourite band the Arctic Monkeys.

A. Wong, based in Pimlico is the cheapest 2-star Michelin restaurant and costs £28 per person.

According to the Michelin Guide: "If you want to experience the full repertoire of this talented kitchen, then go for the ‘Taste of China’ menu which takes you on a 3-hour culinary voyage around the country."

Other London based restaurants on the list include Spanish eatery BRAT in Shoreditch and St John in Smithfield, located on the premises of a former bacon smoke-house that specialises in reclaiming traditional British dishes such as pigs' ears, ducks' hearts, trotters, pigs'...
