London set for 20C within days but weather forecast shows near-constant threat of rain

However the sunny times aren't to last as both forecasters are predicting that it will be on and off wet for the next two weeks. The sun is set to make a limited appearance, but overwhelmingly there will be showers with differing degrees of wind

The Met Office's long range forecast spanning between April 18 and May 2 says 'rain and showers are likely at times, but there is also a reasonable chance of some drier and sunnier spells of weather'. The BBC’s upcoming forecast can be found below.

BBC Weather's London forecast

The BBC claims that today April 4 will be see that 'overnight rain will clear to the east to leave a mix of sunny spells, variable cloud and scattered showers. Clouding over from the west towards the west with rain towards the evening'.

While 'this evening and the first part of the night will see a band of rain push across from the west. There will then be cloudy skies, strong winds and showery outbreaks of rain for the rest of the night'.
