Luminar, a US-based provider of LiDAR, is collaborating with ECARX, a China-based mobility tech company, on automotive grade technologies.
The automotive grade technologies are intended to allow the advancement of safety and automated driving capabilities in the production of consumer vehicles and commercial trucks.
Luminar stated that the collaboration will further strengthen its presence in China. The partnership is intended to help Luminar to expedite deployment of its long-range lidar and software in the market and beyond through ECARX's deep connection with automaker Geely and the Geely ecosystem.
