Man stabbed and strangled woman and said 'her body wouldn't be found' in horrific series of attacks

Her colleagues attempted to intervene but Alidov pushed her to the floor and left her unconscious. After he left her workplace he made a threatening call to her later that day and threatened to killer her, warning that 'if you try and call the police and tell them about this, I will kill you'

In the same phone call he said that he would make sure that her body would not be found if he did kill her. After making the threatening phone calls Alidov fled to Bulgaria. He also took his victim's passport to prevent her from leaving him.

Alidov returned to the UK on August 29 2022, and his victim received a message from one of his relatives stating that they could meet her to return the passport. However, when she arrived at the meeting point Alidov was there instead of the relative -he then beat her, strangled her and again threatened to kill her.

She met him again the next day in a bid to be reunited with her passport, but Alidov attacked her again -he punched her to the floor and repeatedly stabbed her, leaving her unconscious.

Police were called to the scene by passing members of the public. When officers arrived Alidov had been restrained by the public. The victim was also supported by an off-duty nurse who stayed with her until the ambulance arrived. Alidov was arrested and taken into custody.
