Masked Edinburgh motorcyclists speed by police in busy city street on stolen bike

At around 12am on June 26, cops saw a motorbike which they later identified as being a stolen KTM motorcycle, driving at speed along Leamington Terrace

Officers signalled to the rider to stop but the bike was driven off down Gilmore Place, towards Viewforth.

The biker then went along Dundee Street towards Fountain Park, down Drysdale Road and onto the West Approach Road.

They were last seen in the Gorgie Road area.

Police are now conducting extensive enquiries to trace the driver, passenger and the vehicle.

Both the motorcycle's driver and passenger are described as wearing dark clothing and balaclavas.

The motorbike had been previously reported as stolen from Spittle Street between 7:30 and 8pm on June 20.

Anyone who has information that could trace those involved are being urged to contact Police Scotland and quote incident 0008 of Sunday, 26 June.
