Masterchef winner Gary McLean - who also introduced top seafood spot Creel Caught to Bonnie and Wild - is behind the new venture and recently announced the arrival of the Scottish deli on social media

Soup and Caboodle will serve the likes of soups, meats, grazing platters and cheese platters in the heart of Edinburgh, with an opening date set for next month.

The team behind Bonnie and Wild marketplace confirmed: "Opening next month, Soup & Caboodle will be offering Bonnie & Wild guests a medley of marvellous foods to eat in or take away. Think nourishing soups, tasty pieces, meats, grazing platters and cheese boards … and much, much more.

"As well as dining-out and eat-at-home options, Soup & Caboodle will be retailing curated deli sourced from across Scotland, such as relishes and pickles, jams and jellies, sweets and treats, oils and sauces, groceries and many other types of fresh Scottish produce.
