Midlothian MP to take the the plunge in charity bungee jump

Mr Thompson admits to nerves ahead of the plunge later this month but says the cause is worth it

The SNP politician is taking part in the 132ft drop from Garry Bridge at Killiecrankie in aid of HcL Transport, a charity dedicated to assisting people with disabilities and long-term conditions to maintain community connections.

He said: "So many people rely on HcL Transport's services to stay connected and engaged so I was keen to do whatever I could to help. I'm thrilled to contribute to such a worthy cause."

The jump is scheduled to take place on Saturday, April 27, with plans to share updates and the live footage on Mr Thompson's social media.

He said: "I am so grateful to everyone who has donated and offered their support so far.
