Multiple Edinburgh roads taped off as heavy police presence respond to incident

Various roads within the Leith have been taped off as well as multiple police cars spotted in the area as the cause for concern is currently unknown

Part of Easter Road, St Clair Avenue and Dalmeny Street remain closed as traffic begins to build up in the area on Sunday morning, June 19.

Locals reported that the incident occurred early in the morning, with Lothian Buses directing several services away from the area for the time being.

The first diversion was tweeted at around 3am in the morning, with the 35, 49, 1, 7, 14, 16 and 25 all being forced to take an alternative route.
