Murder suspect arrested after man, 46, 'violently' stabbed to death in Tottenham park

It comes after the Met Police were called at 5.51am on Sunday April 7 to Northumberland Park after Okechukwu was found unresponsive. Officers responded with London Ambulance Service paramedics

A spokesperson for the Met Police said: "On arrival they found a man – later identified as 46-year-old Okechukwu – suffering from a number of stab injuries. CPR was administered but despite the best efforts of emergency services, he was pronounced dead at the scene. Okechukwu’s family continue to be supported by specialist officers and a post-mortem examination will take place later this afternoon."

Detective Chief Inspector Neil John, from the Specialist Crime Command, who is leading the investigation, said: “Our investigation is making good progress but I continue to urge anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious to please come forward and speak with us. We are working hard to build a timeframe to establish what has happened.

"Were you woken up by a disturbance, or did you see anyone running from the area I would ask that you check any private CCTV or dash cam footage to see whether you captured anything that might assist us.”
