Newcastle Diamonds British Championship finalists go head to head with new champion; Danny King once shone in Newcastle Diamonds colours, but now the British No 1 will take on Robert Lambert and Steve Worrall.

Newly-crowned champion Danny King and Newcastle Diamonds' pair of young aces Robert Lambert and Steve Worrall, who all performed so brilliantly in the British Championship final, meet up again tomorrow at Byker (6.30pm) when Ipswich Witches visit seeking Premier League points.

King, the Diamonds' No 1 two years ago, raced to a barnstorming victory in very wet conditions to clinch the individual title, while Lambert and Worrall also made it through to the Grand Final where 18-year-old Lambert collected third place behind Belle Vue's Craig Cook.

The 'big three', Lambert, Worrall and King, will all meet in the 13th race tomorrow, and before then Lambert will face King in the first heat of the night, while Worrall meets him in the 11th.

Plus, there is always the likelihood that all three could line-up for a second time in the final race of the match contested by the night's top scorers.
