In Perez and Mitrovic we have two class acts up front.

I only hope they stay fit and Steve isn't tempted to tinker to accommodate Cisse at the weekend.

Same starting 11 as Norwich for me.

ANDREW SAYS: I agree -- McClaren's change in formation and the partnership of Perez and Mitrovic has been one of the big plus points in a season that hasn't yielded much, yet.

They've a lot more to do if they're to solidify themselves as a genuine strike partnership, but their early-season form has been encouraging.

The worry, like you say, is trying to fit Cisse in -- or making him fit.

There's no doubt his goals, especially last season, were invaluable but he hasn't looked like the same player.

The lone striker role doesn't suit him and there isn't a case at the moment to drop Perez or Mitrovic in his place.

I'd stick with the same XI -- the only question mark for me would be Tiote.

He played 45 minutes against Norwich and was hooked -- if he starts against Sunderland, he needs to keep out of foul trouble, stay away from confrontation and impact the game with the ball.

But is that Tiote's forte? Should he not be given licence to break up play, to be physical? Well, no. Not in my opinion.

We've discussed previously how discipline has been as issue -- Tiote doesn't help that.

Although, saying that, McClaren will probably go with the same XI as Norwich.

Steve McClaren must surely stick with the same side that thrashed Norwich?
