North Tyneside business park comes together in aid of Sunshine Fund; Cobalt Park hopes to surpass its [pounds sterling]3k target with a range of events and competitions to help the charity support disabled children.

A North Tyneside business park will host a series of event this summer in aid of a local children's charity.

Cobalt Park is backing The Chronicle Sunshine Fund, starting on Thursday with the More On Show exhibition prize draw, followed by a string of inter-tenant tournaments.

Cobalt's 13,000 strong workforce have been invited to get their teams together to take on their neighbours while raising as much money as possible.

A [pounds sterling]3,000 target has been set by the site to help the charity continue to provide life-changing specialist equipment to North East youngsters.

This year will see staff from new Park arrivals Siemens and Utilitywise also taking part, and bigger presences from Hewlett Packard, DNV GL and G4S who have taken over more space over the past 12 months.

The More On Show exhibition at Cobalt Central celebrates Cobalt's MORE staff discount card, while a range of games, food and drink tasters, beauty treatments, prize draws and giveaways are up for grabs.

And all the proceeds of the prize draw, which includes a two night cruise to Amsterdam, overnight stays at Matfen Hall and a Mercedes SLK for the weekend among the goodies, will go directly to the Sunshine Fund.
