'P***-taking' landlord tries to charge tenant £25 for every email she has to reply to

The tenant had been in touch with the unidentified landlord regarding a mould issue when they received the email warning them of the new fee. The email was shared to X formerly Twitter by Fred Gentze, a member of tenants union ACORN

The email read: "Due to the high level of communication regarding the numerous breaches of the T&C’s of your legally binding contract, going forward as of today’s date there will be an additional service charge of £25 per email correspondence relating to any and all outstanding matter to to with any matters relating to the breaches of your T&Cs/"

Gentze captioned the note with: "Hahah found the email. £25 charge every time this landlord has to respond to her tenant complaining about mould. You couldn’t make it up."

He then commented that if "you’re fed up of landlords taking the pss" you should "fight back." He wasn’t the only one angry with the landlord’s outrageous email, which was viewed on the social network nearly 2million times.
