Piers Morgan has launched a scathing attack on his former Good Morning Britain colleague Alex Beresford, branding him a 'stand in weather man' and accusing him of staging a premediated row about Meghan Markle.

It's now been a month since Piers quit GMB, hours after a heated on-air spat with Alex in the wake of Meghan and husband Prince Harry's interview with Meghan Markle.

Alex argued it obvious Piers "didn't like Meghan," in reference to claims made by Piers a few days earlier that she "ditched him like a sack of spuds."

He told Piers: "She's entitled to cut you off if she wants to," before accusing him of "continuing to trash her," as Piers got out of his seat and stormed off camera, saying: "I'm done with this."

Alex then shouted: "Do you know what That's pathetic," before Piers could be heard saying: "Sorry, can't do this."

Piers has now taken aim at Alex, a rumoured contender to be his GMB replacement, in an Piers Morgan's five shock claims about Meghan and Harry in bombshell US interview, which aired in the US on Monday night.

After telling host Tucker Carlson: "he is the stand in weather guy, he's not a journalist," Piers added: "I specifically asked for him to come in that morning... he wanted to explain to us and the moment he came on air he came with a premeditated attack on me that was quite personal.
