On the market for £1,750,000, the Isle of Vaila offers a rare opportunity to own your own island as well as an additional four buildings which aren't exactly small.

Describing the island, according to Savills, 20th century English Poet Laureate Sir John Betjeman said: "I can think of few nicer places in the world."

The island located in the west of the Shetland Islands archipelago, comes with 757 acres of land in total with around 142 acres grazings as well as approximately 581 acres heathland.
