RaySearch Laboratories AB (RaySearch) (STO:RAYB), a medical technology company that develops software solutions to improve cancer care, announced on Tuesday that five cancer centres in the UK have placed new orders on the treatment planning system RayStation.

The total order value is about SEK48m, most of which will be recognised as revenues within the first quarter 2019. Reportedly, these orders strengthen RaySearch's position in the UK market further.

Under these new orders, Christie Hospital, Manchester, has significantly increased its current RayStation solution, approximately increasing the hospital's configuration four-fold. This new order includes additional IMRT and VMAT capacity. Christie Hospital will use RayStation for the majority of its photon therapy treatments.
