UK-based Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) has lost an appeal over alleged unfair commissions charged to customers, according to Reuters.
The bank had allegedly imposed the charges on customers who were sold payment protection insurance (PPI). The United Kingdom's Supreme Court unanimously allowed an appeal brought by two former customers of RBS, which is a unit of NatWest (NWG.L).
