Record Premier Sports Cup jackpot up for grabs as Hearts and Hibs eye glory and cash boost

Each club participating in this season's competition is guaranteed to receive at least £22,000 and the winner is bound to earn £350,000 in prize money, with further sums available for televised matches across Premier Sports. The total amount of cash to be distributed within the competition will amount to £2,157,000 – a rise of nearly £150,000 from last season

Group stage action kicks off next months and while finishing bottom in a section rakes in £22,000, fourth-place finishers will earn £23,250 and third-place sides will take home £25,000. The five worst runners-up will be handed £29,000. In the knockout stages, the losing teams in the second round and quarter-finals will be awarded £50,000 and £80,000 respectively for their efforts.

A substantial increase then awaits in the semi-finals. The losers of both semi-finals will be paid £110,000 and the eventual winners £350,00 while the runners-up earn £160,000.
