Global banking regulators are calling for a standardised format for the reporting of crypto assets by banks, Reuters has reported.
Under the proposed format, banks would have to disclose their crypto asset holdings from January 2025. This would give a complete picture of their assets to investors. The Basel Committee had agreed to new rules last December on how much capital banks should hold to cover different types of crypto assets.
